What is the duration for a Respite stay?
Our minimum Respite Care stay is three days and can go up to 30 days as needed.

What services are provided during a Respite stay?
Short-term residents enjoy three meals a day, snacks, daily bed-making, housekeeping, linen service, personal laundry, medication assistance, reminders to time and space, activities, and oversight by a licensed health care professional.

What are the steps to begin a Respite stay?
In order to provide Respite Care, we require the following:

  1. Pre-screen Assessment
  2. 50% deposit to reserve an apartment or a room (remaining 50% to be paid at admission)
  3. Completed basic application forms
  4. Signed contract
  5. Copies of the power of attorney, living will, Social Security card, insurance and pharmacy cards
  6. Admission Data form
  7. Physician must complete medical history form within 30 days prior to admission for Wesley Commons and 72 hours for McKendree Gardens

Do I bring my loved one’s meds?
Please provide all necessary medications to Simpson Meadows at admission. The quantity should be adequate to cover the reserved time period plus a reserve of three days. All medications must be in their original containers. Only those medications listed on the Documentation of Medical Evaluation Form (ADME) can be administered. This includes all over-the-counter (OTC) medications.

What about visitors?
Visitors are welcome 24/7. The Simpson Meadows community is your home and your friends, family and loved ones are free to visit at any time.
