For the next lecture in our Memory Care series, Cerise Weber, Director of Resident Services at Simpson Meadows, will explain what “normal aging” looks like when it comes to behavior and brain function. What do various forms of dementia look like? How is Alzheimer’s disease unique? Together, we will see how different areas of the brain are affected by different conditions and explore methods used at Simpson Meadows to enhance independence for residents who are progressing through these diseases. As a certified PAC trainer, Cerise will demonstrate how focusing on the positive aspects of a person’s ability can greatly enhance quality of life.
