Simpson House

Simpson Senior Services

Simpson House was founded in 1865 by Mrs. Jane Henry who, with the help of the Bishop and Mrs. Matthew Simpson, addressed the needs of older persons in the community after the devastating effects of the Civil War. This unbroken chain of caring still exists today, providing a unique tradition of commitment, care and value.

In the 1990's, Simpson House sought to expand its mission to older adults into the suburbs. Simpson Senior Services was created to serve as a parent organization and in 2000, it opened a new community, Simpson Meadows in Downingtown. Simpson Meadows has become a dynamic and much sought after retirement community. An extraordinarily beautiful establishment, Simpson Meadows has attracted active and vibrant adults as residents.
